Who we are
Digitalizer Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15267581). If you have questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at marian@digitalizer.uk.
What data we collect
When you request a free SEO audit, we collect information you provide together with some technical data we capture automatically:
- Information you provide on the form: your email address, website URL, and business location (town or city).
- Technical information about your visit: your IP address and the user-agent string sent by your browser. We use this to prevent abuse of the free audit service and for security logging.
- Marketing attribution parameters: if you arrive via a tracked link, we record the UTM parameters in the URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term) so we understand which channels work.
- Advertising identifiers: if you arrive from a Meta (Facebook / Instagram) ad, we record the Facebook click identifier (fbclid) from the URL and the _fbp / _fbc values set by the Meta pixel, plus a one-time event ID (UUID) that we generate. These let us measure ad performance without duplication between browser-side and server-side signals.
- Anonymous usage data through cookies if you consent to them (see our cookie policy for details).
Why we collect it
We use your information to run an automated SEO audit on your website and email you the results. We may also send you follow-up information about our SEO monitoring service, LocalPulse. We use analytics data to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.
Legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we process your data based on consent. You actively provide your information by filling in our audit request form, and you choose whether to accept analytics cookies through our consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time.
How we store your data
Audit requests are stored securely in our database (Supabase) hosted in the EU (London). Your SEO audit report is generated on our server and made available to you via a private link sent to your email. Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics on their servers under their privacy policy.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data. The third-party services that process data on our behalf are:
- Supabase (hosted in the EU / London) - stores your audit request and any resulting account data.
- Resend - delivers your audit report and any follow-up emails.
- Google Analytics - website analytics (only runs if you accept analytics cookies).
- Google PageSpeed Insights API - receives your website URL (not your personal contact data) for performance testing.
- Google Places API - receives your website URL and business location for Google Business Profile lookup.
- DataForSEO - receives your website URL and business location for Google search-result checks.
- Meta Conversions API - if you arrived via a Meta ad and we determine your audit qualifies as a lead, we send Meta a SHA-256 hash of your email plus the pixel identifiers listed above so Meta can measure ad performance. Your email is never sent in plain text.
- Anthropic (Claude API) - receives the audit findings (not your personal contact details) to help generate the written fix recommendations in your report.
How long we keep your data
We keep your audit request data for as long as needed to provide the service and comply with our legal obligations, or until you ask us to remove it.
If you become a paid LocalPulse subscriber, we keep your account, tracked keywords, rank history, and audit history for the lifetime of your subscription and for up to 24 months after cancellation, so you can resubscribe without losing your history and so we can meet our billing and accounting record-keeping obligations.
Analytics data is retained according to the default retention period set by Google Analytics (14 months).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw your consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your rights have been violated.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at marian@digitalizer.uk and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
For full details on the cookies we use and how to manage them, see our cookie policy.
